been a long time since i blogged about anything. a lot has happened since the last blog.
good news... i'm now a Reiki practitioner along with being a photographer, a designer, a bedouin and a bathroom singer! and lately...trying to go vegan n i know i will succeed.
bad news... my sweet puppy dog, the love of my life, moved on. don't think i will ever get over her. just like i never got over my pals who went away to doggie heaven before her :(
its amazing what you can learn from your animal friends, unconditional love being topmost on that list. she was a shinning example of that. and yet i took so long to imbibe that quality...am not even close to how she was. i still have conditions attached that i must let go of.
man has the best examples of goodness right in front of his eyes and yet he cannot see them, he is blind!
so blind that he will torture that same bundle of goodness n love to get over his frustrations, to overcome his fears, to make more money and sometimes even just for kicks. everyday we hear about animals being slaughtered, stray dogs being beaten and tortured, inhuman treatment being meted out to lab animals in the name of research, and so on. in fact just the other day i saw this video of a rabbit being used to test shampoo...the lab assistant caught a rabbit clamped at its neck, opened his eye wide and poured shampoo into it with a dropper to test how much it hurts the eye!!! i couldn't believe my eyes... such brutality.
there are many more such videos of mans brutality towards the animals who have equal right to share this planet and live free. watching them shakes my faith in humanity...and the ones who torture them in the various labs all over the world, go about their work desensitized to the pain they are inflicting on a daily basis. WHY??? so that our shampoo doesn't hurt our eyes, our botox injection doesn't give us a rash, our antibiotic doesn't make us sick...

there are many more like this video...and many more on other issues like puppy mills; factory farming of animals; moneys, dogs, cats, mice being tortured in the name of science everywhere, everyday...
and all this despite the fact that the law does not require these companies to test on animals. and our species will react differently to chemicals as compared with any other species. our DNA is different. so what's the point in inflicting all this pain?!
here's another one that broke my heart, it made me cry, and i know it will break yours too... but please watch it to get a glimpse of reality.
please sign every petition you can against animal testing, ban every product that you are aware has been tested on animals, go vegan if you can and help make this world a better place for our animal friends.
